Joe-Mentum: Prettiest Girl ln The Room

Wow, what a wacky night - it's 1 a.m. PST and it looks like Tester is going to do it in Montana, and pending a possible recount in 10 days in Virginia, where Webb won by less than 1%, the Dems did it, getting control of the Senate 50-49-1. Except that Joe Lieberman is technically an independent, making it 49-49-2.

So for all the talk about Nancy Pelosi and a possible recount in VA, the biggest winner tonight was Joe Lieberman. He went from an outcast who couldn't even win his primary to suddenly the prettiest girl in the room. Which is quite a statement, because he is not pretty.

Joe-mentum, bitches. He told you so, just 2 years early.

He is like the #1 high school football recruit, and 2 schools are trying to woo him. Except imagine that there are absolutely no recruting rules or regulations whatsoever. Money, hookers, coke, you name it is on offer. No matter what happens dude is getting some serious power and CT is getting some serious pork. A remarkable change of events for Ol' Joe.

Berkeley beat SF in the battle to see who could vote to impeach Bush & Cheney by the biggest margin: in SF the impeachment proposition passed 60-40 but Bezerkeley came even stronger at 68-32. Righties can take pleasure and relief that these measures are only cosmetic, because if they were real then that would theoretically make Nancy Pelosi Speaker Of The House President.

Could be worse, Red America: if Berkeley had their way, she would be POTUS

I'm tired and can't make it another 2 hours to confirm the MT result, so I'm off to bed, where unlike Karl Rove I will sleep like a baby tonight.

This one's not cosmetic...
Take a moment, and help convince Nancy Pelosi to Impeach..

The day the nation demands impeachment is upon us. Sacks and sacks of mail are about to arrive in Nancy Pelosi's office initiating impeachment via the House of Representative's own rules. This legal document is as binding as if a State or if the House itself passed the impeachment resolution (H.R. 635).

There's a little known and rarely used clause of the "Jefferson Manual" in the rules for the House of Representatives which sets forth the various ways in which a president can be impeached. Only the House Judiciary Committee puts together the Articles of Impeachment, but before that happens, someone has to initiate the process.

That's where we come in. In addition to a House Resolution (635), or the State-by-State method, one of the ways to get impeachment going is for individual citizens like you and me to submit a memorial. has created a new memorial based on one which was successful in impeaching a federal official in the past. You can find it on their website as a PDF.

You can initiate the impeachment process and simultaneously help to convince Pelosi to follow through with the process. Do-It-Yourself by downloading the memorial, filling in the relevant information in the blanks (your name, state, etc.), and sending it in. Be a part of history.

Hey crazy lefties. What city will you allow OBL to nuke as a peace offering? What happens when one city is not enough? How about we redeploy out of Europe now that it is a Muslim “nation” too. LOL!!!

Here you go. I'm building my fall out shelter now.

Damn- Easy folks. These were just some random observations. For the record I think Lieberman is a massive douchebag and Pelosi is a typical vague rhetoric-spitting politician. It was just interesting to me to see last night play out and JL go from total pariah to suddenly holding all the cards, and I was just pointing out the bay area wackiness with the impeachment stuff.

I think the lefties will allow OBL to fly planes into National Landmarks while Pelosi and Reid sit in a classroom hanging out with 2nd graders.

Then, the lefties will probably react by attacking a country that had nothing to do with the attack--creating more terrorists in the process, according to our intelligence agencies--leaving OBL alone, so he can continue making his tapes mocking the USA.

Maybe if that's not enough, they'll put directions for building a nuclear bomb on the Internet for several months--in Arabic, of course--just to make sure that the Terrorists don't have any trouble putting a nuclear bomb together.

Perhaps if they did that, it would show how ineffective they were at protecting the country.

Interesting *theories*. I expect nothing more from you lefty whackos for the next 2 years. Allah, here we come!

Perhaps you need a lesson in what facts are, and what theories are. Nothing I listed was a theory, they are all facts. Well, let me rephrase, because I was being satirical--I was ridiculing GWB by listing factual circumstances, and suggesting that if the Libs did those things they would be morons. As it stands, though, they would be hard-pressed to be as inept as this administration has been.

(1) Planes flying into National Landmarks

This happened on 9/11/01, in case you missed it. Bush was in a classroom in Sarasota, Florida at the time reading "My Pet Goat." Perhaps you think it is all a liberal plot--Lord knows, if I supported the guy I'd do anything I could to act like he didn't sit there shitting his pants while it was all going on--but as far as I know, no one has contended that this isn't true.

(2) Attacking a country that had nothing to do with it, creating more terrorists, so OBL could keep making his tapes

Bush has admitted that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 in press conferences. The NIE has acknowledged that the war in Iraq has created more terrorists, as anyone with a brain can intuit (Bush seems to think there are x amount of terrorists, and as long as he can kill them all there won't be any left--which is stupid as hell). And, as far as I know, OBL has not been caught--it might have been reported, even by the so-called liberal media.

(3) Directions for building a nuclear bomb on the Internet, helpfully in Arabic

This is a fact, not a theory--as a matter of *fact*, it was Bush's personal decision (overruling Negroponte, who wanted to exercise caution) to throw the stuff on the Internet. Pure genius from our CIC. You might have missed it, because the so-called liberal media had such a big boner talking about very important things like John Kerry during the run up to the election, instead of trivial matters like this--but if you look for it, you'll find it.
